Merchant vessels bound for India are once again being targeted in the Strait of Hormuz. Recently, a drone attack struck an oil tanker en route from Qatar to Dahej, Gujarat (India).

The targeted ship is an LNG carrier named Al Ruwais (referred to as Al Rekayat in some records), which sustained significant damage.

There were 29 crew members on board, including four Indian nationals. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported, and all crew members are safe.

The exact perpetrator remains unconfirmed. Iran has accused the United States of orchestrating the incident, while the U.S. blames Iran.
